For the life of me, I can’t understand why the phone company still prints those yellow pages phone directories. I mean really, when was the last time you actually looked up a phone number in an actual phone book? Those pesky yellow pages advertising sales guys stopped calling on ad agencies a decade ago. Take it from me, placing an ad in any of these books isn’t advertising. If you have a burning desire to “invest” in “advertising” in a phone book, call me. Friends don’t let friends buy ads in phone books.
No one I know keeps the phone books that are delivered to homes and businesses. They recycle them as soon as the new books are delivered. In fact, you can now opt out of having the phone book delivered to you. Try it, you’ll be saving a tree.
A pile of yellow pages directories suddenly turned up in the lobby of our office building last week. The delivery guys for the phone company used to hand deliver the new phone books to every office in the building. I guess they couldn’t handle rejection very well, because now they just dump a small pile of them in the lobby, where they sit until building management throws them away.
But wait, here’s a reason to grab a copy of the phone book! Ever seen those muscle heads that somehow summon enough super human strength to tear the yellow pages in half. Now you can impress you co-workers by doing exactly the same thing, even if you haven’t been to the gym in years! Learn how here.
