Top 10 YouTube Ads You Watched this Year

The end of December is officially here–and it’s time to take a look back at the top YouTube ads of the year. In our final post of the year, we’re rounding up the ads that got the most views, shares and all-around love from audiences around the globe.

This year’s list includes a few Hollywood legends, a somewhat unexpected collaboration with Backstreet Boys and Chance the Rapper, and a surprise appearance by SATC fashion icon Carrie Bradshaw. But the big surprise? Six of the top ten ads originated as Super Bowl commercials proving ads around the event are still one of the smartest marketing bets of the year–thanks to their extended life on YouTube.

In total, the top ads generated a massive 230M views and 275M minutes in watch time this year. Check out some of the top highlights below.
