Comcast subscribers in our area had to scramble to keep track of the play-by-play broadcast of their favorite team last year. Some swithced cable providers, others found a way to catch the games online. Buy that all changes this year. Comcast inked a deal with 21st Century Fox that will bring the YES Network, local home of the New York Yankees, back to the Big Apple, Connecticut and environs. “We always said that we would continue to evaluate whether there was a way to bring back the YES Network under terms that are consistent with our commitment to providing the best programming at the best possible price,” said Comcast, which dropped YES in the NYC area in November 2015. “Our year-end discussions with Fox gave us a chance to revisit this, and we were able to reach an overall agreement for Fox News Channel, 12 Fox RSNs, and YES Network that makes sense for both of us and most importantly, our customers.” We look forward to once again being able to place our client’s advertising in our local Comcast zones.
